STYGIA was unveiled in 2007 as a recording project featuring musicians Mike Vescera (Yngwie Malmsteen, Loudness, Obsession), Todd Seitz (STYGIA), Chris McCarvill (Dokken, Obsession, House of Lords), Vitalij Kuprij (Ring of Fire, Revenge), Mike Mangini (Dream Theater, Steve Vai, Annihilator, James Labrie) and Joe Stump (Reign of Terror). Stygia's music is intended to capture the epic brutality of several dark fantasy themes in the style of progressive power metal.

Update 2018: The tedious full length album has been put on hold for many years, but I have the ball rolling again and have dug the recordings out of the archive!  New guitar tracks are being recorded along to the existing and finished tracks that I have written and produced.  Vocals by Mike Vescera (MVP, Ex Malmsteen, Loudness), Bass by Mike LePond (Symphony X), Drums by John Macaluso (Labyrinth, Ex Ark, Malmsteen), Keyboards by Kevin Codfert (Adagio), Guest Solo Appearance by Jens Johansson (Rainbow, Stratovarius).  I have been the sole organizer and producer of this album and started with virtually no recording and engineering experience.  It's taken a long time to get it where I want it!  Luckily, I have a recording whiz at this point.
